Parkinson’s Disease
The diet should consist of a high percentage of raw foods (fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds), which are high in fibre, and which will help to keep the body regular. Follow a diet that is composed of 75 percent raw, organic foods, as pesticides, insecticides, and herbicides are directly linked to Parkinson’s disease.
Consume a wide variety of beans, especially fava beans, which are high in fibre and dopa the precursor to dopamine, and which have been found to lower the risk of Parkinson’s.
Consume bananas, whole grains, potatoes, and oatmeal which contain vitamin B6, which raises brain dopamine levels.
Use cold-pressed oils such as sunflower, flaxseed, pumpkin, and hemp, for their high vitamin E content, which is a powerful antioxidant that is important in the prevention and treatment of Parkinson’s. Also, these oils contain rich amounts of the essential fatty acid omega 6, which helps reduce tremors.
Consume foods which are high in vitamins A, E, and C, as found in fruits and vegetables, for their high antioxidant content.
Juice alfalfa, lettuce, carrots, and beets, and consume 1 cup, 15 minutes before each meal, three times daily. This elevates tyrosine levels, which affect mood, alertness, and ambition.

Eliminate all animal products, and limit daily intake of protein to no more than 1 gram for every 5 lbs. of body weight.
Do not eat processed or junk food, which contains high levels of chemicals and other toxins.
Completely eliminate and carefully avoid any artificial sweeteners and preservatives, as many of these are excitotoxins, causing damage to brain neurons. This includes aspartame and monosodium glutamate. Please refer to the presentation on excitotoxins for a more complete listing of dangerous food additives.
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and sugar as they can disrupt neurological function.
Avoid overeating, as this will produce free radicals in the body.
Maintain a healthy body weight.
Drink a glass of clean water every two waking hours, to help flush toxins and impurities from your body.
Every month, do a raw foods fast for two or three days. This will help move toxins out of the body and will help step up your digestive process so that you absorb nutrients more efficiently.
Exercise is vital to prevent muscle atrophy. Walk daily, or if the disease is more progressed, do stretching exercises, especially those which will involve joint movements. Keep the body in the best shape possible.
Practice deep breathing to provide ample oxygen to the body.
